1. Reporting Lost Property
If you believe you have left an item in one of our vehicles, please contact us as soon as possible at admin@arpbespoketravel.com or by telephone on +44 204 5770 007.
When reporting lost property, please provide as much detail as possible, including a description of the item, the date and time of your journey, and the collection and destination addresses.
2. Discovery by a Passenger
If you discover property left behind by a previous passenger during your journey, please notify your Driver or Chauffeur immediately or contact our office. Please do not remove any items from the vehicle.
3. Discovery by a Driver or Chauffeur
Our Drivers and Chauffeurs are required to inspect the vehicle at the end of each journey for any items left behind. Any items found will be reported to our office promptly.
Where we are able to identify the owner of the property, we will make reasonable efforts to contact them and arrange the return of the item.
4. Collection and Return of Items
Lost property may be collected from our office by appointment, or we can arrange for items to be returned to you. A reasonable administration and delivery charge may apply for the return of lost property.
We may require proof of ownership or identification before releasing any items.
5. Storage and Retention
Lost property will be stored securely for a period of up to twelve months from the date the item was found. Perishable items, including food and drink, will be retained for no more than 24 hours before being disposed of.
Items of significant value will be stored securely and handled with appropriate care throughout the retention period.
6. Disposal of Unclaimed Items
After the retention period, unclaimed items may be disposed of in one or more of the following ways:
- Donated to a registered charity
- Recycled where appropriate
- Securely destroyed, particularly documents or items containing personal data
- Surrendered to the police if the item is suspected to be stolen or of an illegal nature
7. Liability
Whilst we take reasonable care with lost property, ARP Bespoke Travel Ltd accepts no liability for any loss of or damage to items left in our vehicles. Passengers are responsible for ensuring they have all their belongings when exiting the vehicle.
